Crossey Engineering / CEL Gruen provided the mechanical, electrical, and lighting design services to the Guelph Civic Administration Complex, which includes a new City Hall and the renovation of heritage buildings into a Provincial Offences Administration (POA) courthouse.
The total floor area for the project is approximately 175,000 sq.ft. The mechanical and electrical design includes 400-tons of space cooling, space heating, humidification, plumbing and drainage, fire protection, storm water management, application for certificate of approval (air) to the Ministry of Environment, computer room HVAC design, electrical design, emergency generator, uninterrupted power supply (UPS), data communication infrastructure, and special custom lighting design.
This sustainable facility qualified for LEED certification.
