Providing the city of Medicine Hat with an integrated museum and performing arts space, The Esplanade Arts and Heritage Centre is a 130,473 sq. ft. facility reflective of its surrounding community and heritage.
Crossey Engineering designed the mechanical, electrical, and lighting design for the building’s 800-seat performing arts theatre, 200-seat studio theatre, 3 art galleries, archives, gift shop, and cafe. Crossey designed the facility to include fully automated lighting and a building control operations system. The approximate construction cost was $19 million.
