Crossey Engineering Ltd. provided the Mechanical, Electrical and Connectivity design services for the Toronto Birth Centre.
This midwife-run centre specializes in optimal health and wellness for the whole community through culturally integrated care, education and research, and through supporting the practice of Aboriginal midwifery in its fullest scope both culturally and professionally.
The centre covers 2 floors of a new 10-storey residential building in Regent Park. The facility includes three (3) birth rooms which resemble an upscale master bedroom with fireplace, full-sized bed, a birthing tub and private washroom. There are large family rooms for support people to gather.
