Project Description

The Toronto South Detention Centre (TSDC) is a 257,874 sq. ft. correctional facility with multiple buildings and facilities to accommodate both the TDSC (maximum-security) and Toronto Intermittent Centre/TIC (part-time term) inmates. Other facilities include shared support services such as a kitchen, laundry, and staff facilities, which are shared between TSDC and TIC.

The complex also includes both mental and physical health services facilities to provide and support routine health examinations, illness and injury treatments, and other non-life-threatening emergency treatments for both inmates and staff.

Crossey Engineering Ltd provided Electrical and IT services for this facility, which was procured by Infrastructure Ontario as a Public-Private Partnership (P3) project.
