The 800-seat Vancouver Playhouse was built in conjunction with the contiguous Queen Elizabeth Theatre in 1962.
Some renovations have occurred over the years. However, a full assessment was necessary.
Crossey was hired to perform a mechanical and electrical building assessment of the existing building. We reviewed HVAC, power distribution, lighting, fire protection, plumbing, emergency backup systems, controls, etc. Our assessment will be reviewed by the design team and owner and then costed.
The assessment information, along with architectural and theatrical concepts and updated mechanical and electrical system criteria will be compiled into a new conceptual design.
